₹500-crore plan for Kindi Bazaar lake in Sangareddy

The Telangana government has initiated steps to develop the historic Kindi Bazaar lake in Sangareddy into a major urban and tourist attraction, with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directing officials to prepare comprehensive development proposals worth ₹ 500 crore.

The proposal came after a request by TPCC working president T. Jagga Reddy, who advocated for rejuvenation and beautification of the lake. A team of officials from Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) and Revenue Department visited the lake for preliminary assessment of the area to explore the possibilities of restoration, beautification of the lake and creation of tourism-related infrastructure.
