Guy Fieri, Kevin Costner bond over veterans support at Super Bowl event

Guy Fieri recognizes the country’s real heroes.
Speaking to Fox News Digital at the Fanatics party ahead of Super Bowl LX, the 58-year-old “Meals, Drive-Ins and Dives” star interrupted actor Kevin Costner and the two bonded over their shared passion for helping veterans and first responders.
“I heard you were doing this great program for veterans and first responders in Santa Barbara, and I heard a bunch of my friends talking about how you and I should collaborate,” Fieri told Costner.
He called Costner “the real deal” for what he did for veterans and first responders, adding that he “wanted it.”[s] to help because we should celebrate everyone who keeps this country free.”

Fieri told Fox News Digital and Costner that the Guy Fieri Foundation’s motto is “to serve those who serve us.”
“So we go around, when there’s a disaster all we do is feed the first responders,” he said of his foundation. “And then, when there’s no disaster, we travel around the country and get to know first responders and veterans. Go to veterans’ homes, go to military bases, etc. I heard about your program you run in Santa Barbara. I’d love to do that.”

Costner is a board member of One805, a nonprofit organization founded in the wake of wildfires and mudslides that devastated Santa Barbara County in 2018.strengthen and sustain preparednessSafety and resilience of first responders.
The two-time Academy Award winner has hosted One805LIVE!, one of the organization’s largest fundraisers, at his oceanfront property in Summerland for many years.

“I get a lot of credit for doing so little,” Costner told Fieri. “But yes, we highlighted these men and women.”
“Freedom is not free,” Fieri replied.
Fieri previously spoke to Fox News Digital about the importance of honoring this country’s veterans and first responders, saying “not enough is being done” for them and that ordinary citizens should pay more “attention” to the military and veterans.
“We must celebrate our veterans, active military, and first responders in this country every day,” Fieri said. he said.
