Shooting suspect’s sickening motive for opening fire at White House Correspondents’ Dinner is revealed

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche announced that the gunman accused of trying to enter the ballroom at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner is believed to have targeted members of the Trump administration.
Cole Tomas Allen, 31, A teacher from Torrance, CaliforniaHe was seen trying to escape a security checkpoint on Saturday night, armed with a shotgun, a pistol and several knives.

Authorities believe the suspect traveled by train from California to Chicago and then to Washington, Blanche said. Days before the event, he checked into the Washington Hilton Hotel, where the dinner was held.
Evidence found on Allen’s electronic devices and writings points to the theory that he intended to target members of the administration who attended the dinner.
Authorities also found anti-Trump and anti-Christian rhetoric on social media accounts.
“In fact, it appears that he was attempting to target people who work in the administration, most likely including the president,” Blanche told NBC’s Meet the Press.
The suspect is believed to have purchased the firearms he was carrying within the last few years, Blanche said. He is uncooperative and is expected to face multiple charges on Monday.
“It failed,” said Blanche. ‘Law enforcement did their duty.’
Allen, a teacher from Torrance, Calif., did not say whether he was targeting the president or anyone in particular, according to anonymous sources.

In another image, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his wife, Cheryl Hines, were seen ducking as they ran to safety.

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump walked off stage immediately after the White House Correspondents’ Dinner after gunshots were heard at the Washington Hilton.
Right behind them were Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller and his wife, Katie Miller.
After everyone was taken to safety, the president spoke at a White House news conference in the West Wing an hour after the violence.
‘It’s always shocking when something like this happens,’ he said. ‘I heard a noise and thought a tray had fallen on the floor.’
Trump added that Melania Trump immediately perceived the voice as a ‘bad voice’ and that it was a very traumatic experience for her.
‘Melania was very knowledgeable,’ he continued.
The president also shared his concern for his wife’s safety, given the multiple assassination attempts against her.
Federal prosecutors announced that Allen will be charged with two counts of using a firearm during a crime of violence and assaulting a federal officer using a dangerous weapon.
He is expected to appear in federal court on Monday.

If convicted, Allen could face a 20-year prison sentence for the assault, while the weapons charges carry a minimum sentence of ten years in prison, while the shooting risks a life sentence.
“Based on what we know so far, it’s clear that this individual was intent on causing as much harm as he could,” said Jeanine Pirro, United States Attorney for the District of Columbia.
‘There will be many more charges based on the information we learn in this very volatile situation,’ he added.
Cops descended on Allen’s family’s $877,000 home Saturday night, shortly after he was arrested.
Authorities said Allen had no prior criminal record and was not previously known to law enforcement in Washington, D.C.
According to publicly available information, he is one of four siblings, including two sisters named Stephanie and Arviana and a brother named Gabriel.
Photos circulating online showed him smiling with family members at graduations and reunions.
His information on social media shows that he is highly educated and academically successful.
Allen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from California State University.

United States Secret Service Deputy Director Matthew Quinn called Allen a ‘coward’ who was ‘trying to create a national tragedy’.
“He underestimated the protective capabilities of the U.S. Secret Service and was stopped at first contact,” Quinn said, before praising the agents for their quick response.
