UK economy saw zero growth in July

According to the latest official figures, the UK economy could not grow in July.

The National Statistics Office (Ones) said the economy had received zero growth per month after an expansion of 0.4% in June.

However, the monthly figures are variable and said that the economy grew by 0.2% by the end of July by the end of July.

The government is under pressure to fulfill the basic priority of increasing economic growth before the budget on November 26th.

The UK’s statistical body said that the service sector has performed well by the health sector, computer programming and office support services.

However, this was balanced with a weak performance in the manufacturing sector.

In the budget, Chancellor Rachel Reeves will summarize the government’s tax and expenditure plans with increasing speculation, and will have to raise taxes to meet its imposed financial rules.

Yael Selfin, the chief economist of KPMG UK, said, “Weak start to the third quarter [is] A sign of future things “.

“Since the temporary factors that increase growth in the first half of 2025 began to fade, the economic activity is expected to slow down in the second half of the year,” he said.

“Furthermore, the subsequent date of the autumn budget may extend some uncertainties for businesses, delay investment decisions, and serve as a drag to grow until more clarity arises.”

“We know that there is more to do to increase growth because our economy feels stuck, even though our economy is broken.

“This is determined to reversed our change plan.

“Any economic growth is welcomed – but this government is moving away from the problems faced by the country.

“The government went from one scandal to another, borrowing costs have recently reached a 27 -year highest level – a vote that does not trust labor to increase the tax increase to pain.”
