UK top diplomat off the hook over Vance fishing trip

British Foreign Minister David Lammy went to fish at the beginning of this month with US Vice President JD Vance, and the closest thing to catch was a fine.
An Environmental Agency spokesman said on Friday that Lammy was given a written warning for unlicensed fishing.
When it came to breaking the law, a very small blush, but he could have fined the 2500 pounds (A5,223 $) for the crime.
Lammy, who described them all as a “administrative surveillance”, acquired a license after the truth and reported himself to the agency.
Lammy hosted his family in Vance and the UK in his country in southern London on August 8th.
The two men smiled and laughed because Lammy called Kentucky -style fishing tips.
Apparently, the pointers did not help Lammy buy a fish.
“The only challenge on the private relationship is that all my children caught fish, but the Minister of Foreign Affairs did not.” He said.
The Environmental Agency does not comment on whether Vance is a license by referring to data protection rules.
Vice President’s spokesman did not respond immediately to an e -mail looking for comments from Associated Press.
The agency said that Lammy had confirmed that a warning was given because he announced this.
The Agency said in England and Wales that everyone over the age of 13 needs a license for fresh water fisheries.
In most cases, inexperienced fishermen who were caught without permission are given warning – so Lammy apparently had the chance of some beginners.
