Tejashwi Yadav says his name is missing from Bihar electoral draft list

Rashtria Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Tejashwi Yadav said that his name was missing in the Bihar election draft list published on August 1, 2025.

Mr. Yadav asked how to compete in the Bihar Assembly elections approaching the Indian Election Commission (ECI). In the State Assembly, the leader of the opposition said that it was “the murder of democracy and to close voter rights”.

He filled his epic number in front of the press on ECI’s official site and could not be found after entering Captcha. Mr. Yadav claimed that ECI was working as a cell of the Bharatia Janata Party (BJP). The Digha Assembly is the voter of the seat and represents the Raghopur assembly seat.

Following the completion of the special intensive revision (secret) exercise for a month, ECI on Friday, August 1, 2025, published the draft election rolls for Bihar. According to ECI, there is no prepared list, but voters can check their names on ECI’s website.
