Coleen and Wayne, 40, moved into the mansion five years ago and the sports star is said to have spent £4 million on the 50-acre former farmland in 2017.

The house is located on the famous Golden Triangle estate in the area, which contains some of the smartest postcodes in the region and has been home to numerous footballers, TV icons and musicians.

Coleen, who shares 16-year-old Kia, 12-year-old Klay, 10-year-old Kit and eight-year-old Cass with Wayne, kicked off her half-term break with a weekend at Disneyland Paris and a visit to the theme park’s new Frozen World.

Coleen first rose to fame at the age of 16 when her childhood sweetheart, Wayne, signed for Everton football club.

Despite meeting her future husband aged 12 in the Liverpool suburb of Croxteth, things did not go well for Coleen, who publicly battled Wayne’s infamous brothel visits and escort scandal.

Coleen previously broke her silence about Wayne’s past infidelities in an interview with British Vogue, admitting their marriage was a ‘war at times’.

Scandal reared its head in the pair’s relationship when it hit the headlines in 2004 that Wayne had visited three prostitutes in his youth two years earlier.

It was revealed that 16-year-old Wayne paid £140 to have sex with 21-year-old prostitute Charlotte Glover.

He was also alleged to have slept with Gina McCarrick, then 37, and grandmother Patricia Tierney (then 48), who wore a rubber catsuit and was known as ‘Auld Slapper’, at a brothel in Liverpool.

Coleen stood by her man but has not commented publicly on the allegations; However, when the scandal emerged later, she admitted that she had not yet slept with Wayne.

Speaking about the incident in 2023, Coleen said they had ‘screaming matches’ over his infidelity and that she ‘couldn’t talk to him’ when she first told him the story would go to the press.

As well as the difficulties in her marriage, Coleen also experienced great grief when her late sister Rosie passed away 13 years ago when she was just 14 years old.

Rosie passed away after a lifelong struggle with Rett syndrome, a rare brain disorder that causes severe disabilities.

The disorder affects physical movement and can present with a variety of symptoms in each individual case.

Rosie was taken in as a foster child when she was two by Coleen’s parents, Tony, a bricklayer, and Colette, a former nursery nurse.

Although they were aware that he was disabled, they did not know the full extent of his incurable condition.

Coleen has always been very open about her little sister, telling 2024 that her family always knew ‘Rosie was different’.

WAG commented in the Wagatha Christie Disney+ documentary: ‘Rosie was a huge part of our lives when she came along. She was the sister I never thought I’d have.’

Speaking to his mum and dad Tony continued: ‘I used to do her hair and loved picking out clothes for her with my mum.

‘He brought home some extra money. We fell in love with it.’

Coleen’s documentary was called Wagatha Christie because the star also endured a very public court battle with her former friend and fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy. 44.

The catalyst for the famous case was a dramatic open letter written by Coleen and published on social media in October 2019. In this letter, Coleen explained that she became a detective to find out who was leaking the stories.

Coleen publicly claimed Rebekah’s account was the source behind three newspaper reports containing fake details which she posted on her private Instagram profile.

These included traveling to Mexico for a ‘gender selection’ procedure, planning to return to television and having a flooded basement in her home.

Saying that she had a ‘suspicion’ about who it could be, Coleen said she ‘came up with an idea’ to ‘prove it’ to her millions of followers.

‘I blocked everyone except ONE account from viewing my Instagram stories,’ he wrote.

Over the next five months, he uploaded “a series of fake stories” to see “if they got any press coverage”.

As well as the difficulties in her marriage, Coleen also experienced great grief when her late sister Rosie passed away 13 years ago when she was just 14 years old.

‘And you know what, they did!’ He wrote ‘the story about gender selection in Mexico, the story about returning to television, and then the final story about the flood in the basement of my new house.’

He continued to build tension, writing: ‘It was hard to keep it to myself and not make any comments, especially when the stories leaked, but I had to do it. Now I know exactly which account/person this came from.

‘I recorded and took screenshots of all the original stories making it clear that only one person was watching.’

And then she said her final iconic line: ‘This is…. Rebekah Vardy’s account.’

In June 2020, Rebekah took legal action against Coleen for defamation, with her lawyers claiming she had “suffered extreme distress, pain, anxiety and embarrassment as a result of the publication of the post and the events that followed”.

After years of negotiations in court cases, the showdown was settled when the court decision did not go in his favor and a seven-figure sum was awarded.

The WAG agreed to pay £1,190,000 of Coleen’s legal bill, plus was ordered to pay a further £212,266 in assessment costs after sensationally losing the high-profile libel case.

Breaking her silence following the closing of the case, she wrote: ‘The rulings yesterday in my favorite finally brings this claim to an end, it’s a relief and brings closure for my family and I.

‘I am grateful that decisions have consistently gone my way throughout this long process. But as I have always maintained, this claim did not need to be made or carried out for this long.

‘Time and money should have been used better. I would like to thank my legal representatives, management, friends and family for their guidance and continued support.

‘We would also like to thank the public and many well-wishers who contacted us with such beautiful messages. This episode was not something I ever wanted in my life, but I am grateful to my family and team for the way they handled it. We look forward to getting on with our lives.’
