Amazon mistakenly announces cloud unit layoffs in email to employees

Amazon On Tuesday, Cloud sent a notice to employees with an apparent error acknowledging “organizational changes” at the company.
The e-commerce giant is expected to announce widespread layoffs in its corporate workforce later this week, a person familiar with the matter previously told CNBC. Amazon’s cloud computing and store units are also among the divisions expected to be affected.
“Changes like this are difficult for everyone,” Colleen Aubrey, senior vice president of applied AI solutions at Amazon Web Services, wrote in an email viewed by CNBC.
