2026 bank holiday dates confirmed – full list | UK | News

With the only four months of the year, you may be thinking towards 2026. The dates of bank holidays are influenced by annual holidays that change dates such as weekends and Easter every year.
Unfortunately, without a significant national celebration on the horizon, there is no plan to add extra bank holidays to the eight days we will buy in 2026.
The first bank holiday of 2026, of course, will be Thursday, January 1, on the New Year’s day.
This year’s Easter Bank holidays will be a little earlier next year while Easter will fall a little earlier, on Friday, April 3, and on Monday, April 6 on Monday on Monday Liverpool Echo Liverpool Echo.
The two bank holidays of May will be on Monday, May 4 and Monday, May 25, and the summer bank holiday will be on Monday, August 31st.
To reach the result of the year, next year’s Christmas Bank holiday will be held on Friday, December 25th.
The boxing day on 2026 falls on Saturday, December 26th, so there will be a backup bank holiday on Monday, December 28th.
