Ukraine launches major aerial attack on Russia refinery

Russian officials said that Ukraine has started a big attack with at least 361 drones that caused a short fire in the large Kirishi oil refinery in northwest of Russia.
While the world forces talked about how the most deadly conflict in Europe since the Second World War, the drone war has risen, Russian drones in NATO member Poland fell, and Ukraine’s world’s second largest oil exporter in Russia attacks against oil refineries and pipelines.
The Russian Defense Ministry said that on Sunday, at least 361 drones were shot by Russian air defense systems overnight, including four -guided air bombs and a US -made Himars missile. He did not give details about the location of the attacks.
Russian officials said that Surgutnefttegaz, one of Russia’s two best refineries, was attacked by Ukrainian drones.
Alexander Drozdenko, the governor of Leningrad, said that three drones were destroyed in the Kirishi region and that a fire fired with falling debris was removed. He said no one was injured.
Ukraine’s Drone Command confirmed that he attacked the refinery and said that he was “a successful strike.”
Reuters could not confirm the scale of the damage for the refinery.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy praised Kiev’s military and private services for long -range attacks on Russian oil facilities.
Zelenskiy, “The most effective sanctions – the fastest employee sanctions – Russian oil plants, terminals, oil warehouses is to shoot.” He said.
“The Russian oil industry significantly restricted the industry and limits this war significantly.”
Zelenskiy said last week that Russia was “significant damage to the port of Primorsk for the first time.
Kirishi develops approximately 17.7 million metric tons (355,000 barrels per day) annually Russian crude oil or 6.4 percent of the country’s total.
In recent weeks, the United States has put pressure on NATO countries to reduce its income and to bore energy sanctions over Russia to end the war with Ukraine, a conflict in which US President Donald Trump struggled to end.
Trump is ready to apply new energy sanctions to Russia on Saturday, but only if all NATO countries stop buying Russian oil and implement similar measures.
Until 2028, the EU remained dependent on its deadline to eliminate Russian oil and gas imports, despite the pressure of moving faster than the US last week.
On Sunday, Russia said that a Zircon (Tskirkon) hypersonic cruise missile fired to a target in the Barents Sea and that Sukhoi Su-34 Superonic warrior bombing planes strike as a part of the common military exercises with Belarus.
Regional Governor Radiy Khabirov said that an oil company in Russia’s Bashkortostan region will maintain production levels despite a drone attack on Saturday.
