UK’s Reeves is getting on with ‘tough’ job after upset

The British Finance Minister is difficult, says Rachel Reeves, but this is his dream role and the one who is determined to continue to do so
Reeves spoke a day after he appeared in tears in Parliament, he fears about his future at work and triggered a market sale.
Reeves told journalists on Thursday, “Is this easy? Is it easy to return the economy? No, not. It’s hard, but I’m going on.”
“I am determined to do more throughout this parliament.”
Reeves’s tear appearance came after the week of bruising for the government, where planned prosperity reforms, which made a hole in budget plans and threaten to weaken their financial rules, had to leave the basic boards.
Starmer gave Reeves full support and two came together at the launch of a health policy on Thursday.
“I am sorry yesterday and everyone could see it. This was a personal issue and I will not go into details.” He said.
“I think what is a little different between my job and most of your audiences, when I have a difficult day on television (TV) and most people don’t have to deal with it.”
“I am completely. This is what I always want to do. I am proud to surrender as the chancellor.”
