UN Chief Urges Greater Regional And International Support For Afghanistan | World News

The United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres emphasized the country’s ongoing human and development difficulties, emphasizing the urgent need for both regional and international support for Afghanistan.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Sustainable Development Goals Center (SDGs) in the United Nations Almaty, Guterres underlined that he was grateful to Kazakhstan for cooperation with Afghanistan and his role in advancement of sustainable development in the region.
“And anywhere, cooperation is not more urgent than our support for Afghanistan. The people of Afghanistan continue to face tremendous difficulties from settled poverty and mass displacement to earthquakes, climatic shocks and fragile human landscapes. They deserve a better future.
The Secretary General emphasized the need to fully respect human rights in Afghanistan, especially the rights of women and girls. He also emphasized the importance of self -sufficiency and protection of human dignity in the country.
According to Guterres, the regional center will play a key role in promoting solidarity and share responsibility to support the Afghan people.
“The United Nations have been working on it for a long time and helps to abolish Afghanistan from isolating Afghanistan. But it also depends on them.
So far, the guard government in Kabul has not made any explanation about the establishment of the UN Regional Center or has not responded to the words of the Secretary General.
However, Kazakhstan continues to be one of the few countries in the last four years with a consistent political and economic participation with Afghanistan.
