Woman, Who Weighed 203 Lbs., Was Inspired to Lose Weight After She Had to Be Towed Off Mountain During Ski Trip

According to Kennedy News, Natalie Colbourne-Park, 43, was on vacation in the French Alps in January 2024 when the incident occurred.

“I had to be rescued… they put me in” on a stretcher and put a plastic blanket over me,” Colbourne-Park continued, adding that the whole experience was “nerve-wracking.”

“It was the first day [of our vacation] and we were only there for two hours,” he said. “I was completely embarrassed. I was skiing with my family and mother-in-law and I created chaos for everyone. “My children were very upset because I was sent away by ambulance.”

Colbourne-Park, who was 6 feet, 5 inches tall and weighed 203 pounds at the time. struggled with her weight for years.

“I was never skinny when I was younger. I wasn’t a binge eater, but I was naturally prone to gaining weight,” she said. “One of my problems was portion control. I was putting the same amount of food on my and my husband’s plate, and then it escalated.”

“It changed how I felt about getting my weight under control. I wasn’t denying myself anything, I just wasn’t feeling the food noise,” she added. “I don’t snack a lot anymore. I don’t eat out of boredom. I know what foods are good for me.”

Colbourne-Park said she now feels “incredibly safe” and life is now “so much easier”.

“I am more agile. [I’m] “I can bend over and put on my ski boots and my kids’ ski boots,” he said.
