Uprooted Coconut Tree Kills Two Women Workers in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: Police were killed in Kunnathukal near Neyyattinkara on Saturday after two women workers were killed after a coconut tree fell. The deceased person was defined as Vasantha (65) and Chandrika (64), both of them under the Mgnrega scheme.

The incident occurred during working hours in the village after lunch after lunch. The rooted tree suddenly fell on them. Police said they ran to a injured hospital but could not be saved. The other two people were injured in the incident and were admitted to a nearby hospital.
