Urgent boiler warning after product recall due to carbon monoxide fears

The boiler was urgently recalled due to concerns that there might be a carbon monoxide leak.

Viessmann Vitorondens 200-T/222-F Vitoflame 300 Oil-Oiled Condensing Boiler with Blue Flame Burner is the recalled product.

The Office of Product Safety and Standards issued a recall stating that the product “poses an increased risk of choking”; because tests have shown that some 2021-2023 boilers may fire late, causing pressure damage and possible CO leaks.

He added: “This could expose people in the building to unsafe exhaust gases and potentially lead to asphyxiation.”

Veissmann notified end users affected by this issue and warned installers of the risks.
