Zack Polanski elected Green Party leader in landslide vote
Zack Polanski was elected as the new leader of the Green Party after winning the landslide victory in the competition.
The former actor and hypnotherapist received 20.411 votes from the party, while Ellie Chowns and Adrian Ramsay’s joint campaign received only 3,705 votes.
Polanski, who has become the first only leader of the party in the Green Party Leadership elections with the greatest vote so far, promised “brave action and brave leadership”.
In his speech, Mr. Planski sent a message to Sir Keir Starmer’s Labor Party, saying that the greens will “replace”.
“We will nationalize the water companies. We will take into account this workers’ government. Because when we look at Keir Starmer and what this government is doing, whether the two children’s benefit limit, disability segments, genocide in Gaza, my workmanship is very clear: We are not worried about you.
Mr. Polanski used his victory speech to promise his followers and those who did not vote to expand the party welcomed the Green Party “thousands of new members”.
“Thank you to every person who voted for me. I promise to work every day to offer environmental, social, racial and economic justice,” he said.
The Green Party comes last year while trying to show itself as a serious progressive alternative to labor by raising its joint representation to four deputies.
Sometimes, during a fragile campaign, Mr. Planski emphasized the need to address his opponents to a wide variety of voters, while forcing a “eco-populist öygüz agenda.
Mrs Ramsay and Northern Herefordshire deputy Ms Chowns for the Waveyey Valley accused him of using the “polarization” language that appeal to the “narrow segment” of the voters.
Mr. Polanski said that he would previously work with Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana’s new leftist political party, and that he was open to working with everyone who is open to the threat of far -right reform and this non -popular workers’ government ”.
“I am looking forward to working with you to create a more fair, more gentle world.” He said.
“Your campaign took the rich and powerful ones, stood up for the dignity of all marginal communities, and gave people hope! Real change is coming,” he added.
The vote is suitable to have a ballot with everyone who joined the party until the end of July 30, until August 30th.
Mr. Polanski’s rebel campaign encouraged people to register with the greenery in front of the vote and led to some of their competitors’ entry ”accusations – the charges he rejected.
Unlike other parties, the greens make leadership elections every two years.
This year’s competition was held in 2024 after the election of Mr. Ramsay and his joint leader Carla Denyer for an extraordinary three -year period in 2021, but the survey was postponed to prevent a conflict with the general elections.
Ms. Denyer decided not to be re -elected in May this year.
In 2013, a newspaper reporter has previously worked as a hypnotherapist, in 2013, a role that leads to discussion when he asks for a hypnotherapy session to increase the breast size and body image for an article in the newspaper.
He did the session for free and took part in the published article – but he said that the story did not reflect the situation correctly. Years later, he apologized for his participation.
