Violinists Lalitha, Nandini honoured – The Hindu

Violinists M. Lalitha and M. Nandini were honored with the title of Thamizh Isai Vendar at the inauguration of the 28th Thamizh Isai Karthik Festival of Fine Arts (KFA) at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Mylapore.

Industrialist Nalli Kuppuswamy Chetti said KFA is known for its excellence in event organisation. He thanked the organization for attaching importance to stage plays and organizing a theater festival every April and organizing the Thamizh Isai Festival every year.

KFA president SN Srikanth said KFA has surpassed 50 years of service to fine arts. The organization continues to run more than 300 programs annually, including monthly programs for upcoming artists.

In his congratulations, Carnatic vocalist Neyveli R. Santhanagopalan thanked KFA for encouraging young artists with awards.
