US Consumer Spending Falls in May by Most This Year

The US consumer expenditures decreased in May since the beginning of the year, as personal consumption expenditures fell by 0.3% after setting up to inflation. The basic personal consumption expenditures excluding the inflation metropolitan, food and energy substances preferred by the Federal Reserve, the price index, increased by 0.2% and 2.7% compared to a year ago.
