Domestic shooting in the USA: A fatal domestic shooting occurred in the neighborhood of Lawrenceville, Va., early Friday morning. While four adults lost their lives in the tragic incident in Georgia, according to authorities, police officers responded to a “shots fired” call in the 1000 block of Brook Ivy Court at around 2:30 a.m.
The police arrived at the scene and found 4 people with gunshot wounds in the house. Unfortunately, all four victims of Indian origin were declared dead at the scene, IANS reported.

Details of the shooting incident
Investigators determined the incident was a domestic incident, and police also stated that three young children were in the home when the shooting began.
Remarkably, the boys hid together in a cupboard to save themselves, displaying remarkable composure. The children, who did not suffer any injuries in the incident, were later left in the care of a family member.
Moreover, one of the children managed to call 911 (the emergency contact number in the US) and provided critical information that helped police officers reach the scene within minutes.
Officers arrived on scene with the suspect’s vehicle still parked in the driveway, and fearing the shooter might still be in the area, police deployed K-9 units to search.
A police dog then tracked the suspect to a nearby Woodline and he was taken into custody without incident, according to officials, IANS reported.
Police identified the victims as Kumar’s wife, Meemu Dogra, 43, of Atlanta, Gourav Kumar, 33, Nidhi Chander, 37, and Harish Chander, 38, all residents of Lawrenceville.
Who is Vijay Kumar?
Gwinnett County Police identified the suspect Friday afternoon as Vijay Kumar, 51, of Atlanta.
Kumar was charged with four counts of aggravated assault, four counts of felony murder, four counts of malice murder, one count of cruelty to children in the first degree and two counts of cruelty to children in the third degree.
What caused the conflict?

“Dogra and Kumar’s relatives, Gourav Cumar, Nidhi Chander and Harish Chander, were living in the house on Brook Ivy Court with two children aged seven and ten. It was the 12-year-old child who called 911 after the incident took place,” the post said.
