The estimated 100,000 protesters went to the streets of Tel Aviv to demand that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plan to raise the Gaza War for about two years and demand the release of hostages.

The day before, the Prime Ministry said that the security cabinet, a small senior minister, decided to seize the City of Gaza by expanding military operations in the Palestinian region despite the widespread public opposition and warnings from the army.

“This is not just a military decision. It may be a death penalty for our favorite people,” Hostage Omri Miran’s wife Lishay Miran Lavi said.

Public polls show that an overwhelming majority of Israelis supports the end of the war to ensure the release of the remaining 50 hostages held by militants in Gaza. Israeli officials believe that about 20 hostages are still alive.

The Israeli government faced a sharp criticism at home and abroad, including some of the closest European allies, on the announcement of the army to expand the war.

Mostly, the Israelis killed 251 in Gaza during the attack of Hamas on 7 October 2023 on Israel and 251 were taken to Gaza. Since then, more than 400 Israeli soldiers have been killed in Gaza.

The protesters shook the Israeli flags and carried banners carrying images of hostages. Others urged the government to take action to stop the anger or Trump to stop Netanyahu’s progress with plans to raise the war. A small number of protesters hired images of Gazan children killed by the army.

According to the Gazan Ministry of Health, Israel’s army killed more than 61,000 Palestinians during the war, and said that at least 39 people were killed on Saturday the other day.
