Peace talks between the USA and Iran ended after 21 hours without an agreement.
Vice President JD Vance left Islamabad after the talks ended, saying he had put forward the ‘final and best offer’.
He gave an update shortly after the peace talks concluded, saying Iranian negotiators ‘chose not to accept our terms’, including Tehran’s commitment not to seek or develop nuclear weapons.
However, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that the two sides had reached an agreement on some points and that it was natural that an agreement could not be reached in one day.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the joint US-Israeli campaign against Iran was successful in ‘crush’ the Islamic Republic’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs.

50 people who allegedly shared locations with the ‘enemy’ were arrested in Iran
Iranian authorities have arrested at least 50 people for alleged ‘mercenary’ activities, state-run SNN news agency reported.
The group has been accused of collaborating with the United States and Israel by sharing sensitive locations, including utility facilities and infrastructure.
Authorities also seized electronic devices, satellite equipment and weapons, SNN said.
A recently developed espionage law allows those accused of espionage to face the death penalty and confiscation of their property.
Oil tankers pass through the Strait of Hormuz
Despite the failure of negotiations in Islamabad, three supertankers, all loaded with oil, passed through the Strait of Hormuz yesterday, shipping data showed.
These appear to be the first ships to leave the Gulf since the US and Iran agreed to a two-week ceasefire.

UK minister says ‘disappointed’ no progress in war talks with Iran
British government minister Wes Streeting said on Sunday it was “disappointing” that talks between the US and Iran in Islamabad have stalled.
“It’s frankly disappointing that we haven’t yet seen any progress in the negotiations and a sustainable end to this war in Iran,” Streeting told Sky News.
‘As always in diplomacy, you fail until you succeed. “So even though these talks have not resulted in success, that doesn’t mean it’s pointless to keep trying,” the health minister added.
Streeting also criticized Trump’s rhetoric during the crisis.
‘I don’t think it’s controversial to post a threat to the end of Iranian civilization on social media, it’s really… quite unusual.’

Iran calls US ‘unreasonable’

Crucial Saudi pipeline restored
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Energy said the key east-west oil pipeline and other facilities have been restored following Iran’s attacks on infrastructure across the Gulf.
The official Saudi Press Agency, citing an energy ministry statement, reported that the attacks had led to ‘the loss of pumping capacity of approximately 700,000 barrels per day through the east-west pipeline’ and that efforts were ongoing to restore full production capacity at the kingdom’s Khurais oil field.
Israel and Lebanon to hold direct negotiations
The Lebanese presidential office confirmed that talks between Israel and Lebanon are expected to begin in Washington on Tuesday.
The announcement followed Israel’s surprise announcement that talks were allowed, even though neither country has official relations.
Israel wants the Lebanese government to take responsibility for disarmament of Hezbollah, which joined the war in its early days to support Iran.
Israel claims West Bank explosives laboratory dismantled
The Israeli army announced that it had ‘dismantled’ an explosives production laboratory in Tulkarem in the occupied West Bank.
A social media post says the material includes 200 pipe bombs, fire extinguishers and gas cylinders containing potentially explosive material, as well as more than 50 kilograms of improvised explosive material.
Iran’s Tasnim news agency reported that the Israeli operation destroyed a residential building.
