US-Iran war could last four weeks, says Donald Trump, as per reports

US President Donald Trump said on Sunday he envisioned a four-week military operation against Iran, where American and Israeli strikes have killed the country’s supreme leader and crippled its defense capabilities.

“This has always been a four-week process. We thought it would be about four weeks,” he told Britain’s Daily Mail in the latest of several interviews with media outlets on Sunday.

“No matter how strong a country is, it’s going to take four weeks or less,” Trump said.

England, France and Germany in the US-Iran War

Meanwhile, France, Germany and Britain said in a statement on Sunday that they were ready to defend their interests and those of their allies in the Gulf by taking “defensive action” against Iran if necessary.
The joint statement said the leaders of the three countries were “appalled by the indiscriminate and disproportionate missile attacks launched by Iran against countries in the region, including those that were not involved in the initial military operations of the United States and Israel.”
“We will take steps to defend our own interests and the interests of our allies in the region by potentially enabling necessary and proportionate defensive action to eliminate Iran’s ability to fire missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles at their source,” the statement said.
