Donald Trump was “humiliated” by Chinese leader Xi Jinping upon his arrival in China, according to political commentators.

Trump was greeted at the airport with a formal red carpet ceremony, military guards and an inviting crowd of chanting students.

However, Xi’s absence caught the attention of many, who called the move a ‘big insult’.

Trump was instead greeted by Chinese Vice President Han Zheng.
