US Lawmaker Claims India Readies To Cut Russian Oil Imports As A Result Of ‘Persistent’ U.S. Tariff Pressure | World News

Washington: The US Congress Brian Fitzpatrick claimed that Indian refineries plan to reduce Russian oil imports due to ongoing US pressure. After a recent intelligence in South Asia, including India, Pakistan and Nepal, negotiations with the best Indian officials led to early signals of a shift away from Russian crude oil.

The two -week mission had strategic debates with Foreign Affairs Minister Jaishankar and national security advisors. When combined with constant diplomatic efforts, these talks pushed the Indian refiner to demonstrate a movement that could weaken the ability to finance Moscow’s war in Ukraine.

The visit comes in the midst of ongoing economic tensions, including the US tariffs on Indian imports due to Russian oil purchases. Fitzpatrick’s statements emphasize signs of early change as it indicates a potential decrease in Russian oil imports under India’s diplomatic pressure.
