Royal Family LIVE: Meghan Markle’s jaw-dropping demands to charity | Royal | News

It was alleged that Meghan Markle once made a number of demands while participating in a charity trip to Rwanda. Before marrying Prince Harry, the Duchess of Sussex was an “ambassador” for the charity World Vision in Canada.

At the time, Meghan, 44, was still working as an actress on the popular TV series Suits. The charity asked him to make a high-profile visit to Rwanda to star in a film about the organisation’s work building water wells. This visit took place in January 2016.

But Meghan is believed to have drawn up a list of demands before joining; The duchess reportedly insisted on first-class travel, a crew of two and several suitcases full of clothes. “The actress insisted on flying first class to Rwanda and was accompanied by Canadian fashion photographer Gabor Jurina. American hair and makeup stylist Michael Goyette was also listed as traveling with Gabor,” veteran royal biographer Tom Bower wrote in his 2023 book Revenge.

Mr Bower claimed Meghan’s demands exceeded the budget for the trip, resulting in the film’s producer, Brenda Surminski, being forced to abandon the film.
