ASIO and Home Affairs don’t need more money and power

After terrorism, the state always wins. And, as it seems inevitable, this will be proven once again when the government and the Liberals join forces today to introduce a remarkable new power bill to Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke and Australian Security Intelligence Organization (ASIO) chief Mike Burgess to criminalize membership of an organization they consider to be involved in hate crimes, which should be banned “to prevent social, economic, psychological and physical harm”.
