US Open 2025 at Flushing Meadows scores, results, odds, match-ups and start time including results for Jannik Sinner vs Alexei Popyrin

Life can be difficult on a professional tennis tour. Billie Jean King knows a few things about it – and he is happy to share.

Two days before the start of the Singles contest, the United States sat around a table at Arthur Ashe Stadium with 16 actresses. A few steps away from the largest court of the tournament, the band shared stories, brought up the questions and listened to King’s advice.

This was an annual meeting called Billie Jean King Power Hour and in 1973, the US Open has been a staple in New York for 28 years for Trailblazer for women.

King King said on Wednesday, “My job is to pay attention and try to understand: What do they need? What do they want? What will they help them and their lives – not just tennis for their lives, King King said on Wednesday.

Every year he speaks to a new group of players; Last week, WTA veterans Ilana Kloss, Leslie Allen and Shelby Rogers attended.

King puts it into history a little, a comprehensive explanatory about WTA’s health services – “We want them to use them; we want them to go every day,” he said – and the call to continue to expand the game.

Moyuka Uchijima from Japan, one of the players who listened to King last Friday, said, “Now our generation follows us and said it is even better.” “It was great to know all the history. I really appreciate what he’s doing for us.”

Loïs Boisson, a surprise French open semifinalist in June, took part in the US open meeting with King this year.

“I definitely learned a lot of things, Boiss Boisson said. “He just fights for what he believes and fights for equality. He did a lot for tennis.”

King hopes that these sessions can continue the information cycle that these sessions use during their career.

“I have such a love of history and I met all the past champions and they gave me (many),” he said. “Because I win a lot when you listen and tell you their stories.”

For example, the American star Margaret Dupont, who won 37 major championships in the 1940s and 50s, taught King Patience – and to keep the rackets in your left hand during breaks for your right arm to rest.

Alice Marble, an American player who won 18 major championships in the 1930s, held a meeting with King for two months on weekends to work on tennis.

King remembers every detail.

“Tennis was very great to me, King King said. “I love tennis. I want it to develop for every generation.”
