Delta Force Deployed Near Iraq-Iran Border
According to defense sources:
* Selected units of the US Delta Force were deployed near the Iraq-Iran border on Trump’s direct order.
* Commandos are stationed at temporary American military bases in Iraq’s Diyala and Wasit provinces.
* These locations are approximately 450 kilometers away from Tehran.
* Elite commandos are on high alert, meaning they are ready to start operations at any time.
* Delta Force deployment is never routine; they are assigned only to high-risk, high-value missions.
Given Delta Force’s reputation for targeting high-value targets, its presence near the Iranian border has been linked to potential action against Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Iran Surrounded As Protests Turned Violent
Previous reports had highlighted the largest US military buildup around Iran since the invasion of Iraq. This comes at a time when anti-government protests in Iran have intensified, leaving more than 35 people dead and more than 1,200 arrested. Despite the crackdown, unrest continues to spread.
With Delta Force now positioned near its borders, Tehran views the situation as extremely dangerous. Analysts state that the coming days will be critical for the stability of the Middle East.
Iran Warns of Preemptive Strike
Iran has now warned of a pre-emptive strike against the US and its allies. Iranian Chief of General Staff, Major General Amir Hatami, warned: “The statements against Iran will no longer be answered with words, but will be met with military action from now on.”
Why Is Iran Threatening Retaliation?
Tehran accuses the United States and Israel of openly supporting anti-government protests and organizing military deployments around its borders. This increased Iran’s fear of regime change.
Russian intelligence sources claim that Iran’s first attack could target Israel rather than US bases. Following this news, it is reported that Russia is considering evacuating its embassy in Israel after receiving intelligence about a possible attack.
Iran’s Missile Capability
Iran’s ability to retaliate remains important:
* Iran has around 3000 ballistic missiles.
* The ability to launch 2,000 missiles simultaneously in a saturation attack is being developed.
* The range of missiles such as Fateh-1 and Fateh-2 is between 1,400 and 1,800 kilometers.
* Iran claims that these missiles travel 15 times faster than sound, making them hypersonic and almost impossible to stop.
* Tehran is also developing medium-range missiles that can carry nuclear warheads, raising alarm about future nuclear armament.
Why Iran Might Strike First
Even though Iran knows the military power of the USA and Israel, it may still choose to strike first:
* A preemptive strike would allow Iran to portray itself as acting in self-defense.
* It may distract public attention from ongoing protests by creating a narrative of national security crisis.
* Such a move could strengthen Khamenei’s grip on power and complicate regime change efforts for Washington.
High-Stakes Power Struggle
Sources claim that Trump is preparing for a regime change operation against Khamenei, while Iran’s Islamic government is trying to reassert its validity and authority within the country.
This situation indicates extreme instability in the Middle East, and there is the potential for direct conflict between Iran, the USA and Israel in the coming days.
