Woman nabbed by cops, man wanted after Toronto robbery

A 21-year-old Toronto woman has been charged with robbery while a male suspect is wanted after an incident at a downtown bar.

Toronto Police said they responded to a robbery call Friday at about 12:30 a.m. in the Yonge-College Sts. area after an altercation that started Thursday at a bar near Yonge and Dundas St. E.

Police said the victim met the suspects there before a female suspect tried to steal their money. The victim fled but was followed to Yonge and College, where the female stole the victim’s money with help from a male suspect, according to the allegations.
The victim was not physically injured.
Shanika Richards was charged with robbery, but a male suspect is still being sought. He is about 25-30 years old with a medium build and was last seen wearing a black and yellow tracksuit, black sunglasses, white shoes and a black Chicago Bulls cap.

VICTIMS THREATENED WITH KNIFE IN NORTH YORK
Police are trying to track down a man who threatened two people with a knife during a robbery attempt near Earl Bales Park in North York.
Toronto Police said they responded to the call Sunday at about 9:30 a.m. in the Sheppard Ave. W.-Don River Blvd. Area, where the victims were walking along the Don River Trail before being approached by a male on bicycle.

Police said the suspect tried to steal property from one of the victims before the second victim intervened. The assailant produced a knife and threatened the victims, who were not physically injured, before fleeing.
The suspect is a male with a thin build and thin moustache who was wearing a grey polo shirt and camo-pattern shorts.
