US will always be a child of Europe: Marco Rubio

MUNICH: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Saturday emphasized the US’s desire to preserve the trans-Atlantic alliance, declaring that he “will always be Europe’s child” at a conference a year ago when Washington fell out with its European allies. Rubio told the Munich Security Conference that the “euphoria” of the West’s victory in the Cold War had led to a dangerous illusion of victory that now threatened both the Nazi regime and the institutions that tore apart the Soviet Union.
