Konda Surekha Welcomes Decision to Celebrate Bathukamma Festival in Warangal
Haydarabad: Konda Surekha, the Minister of TaLangana Foundations, welcomed the decision of the tourism department to celebrate the Bathukamma Festival in Warangal this year.
Tourism Minister Jupallly thanked Krishna Rao and TaLangana Tourism Company General Manager Valluri Kranthi for deciding. Rani Rudrama, also known as Oruguallu, described Rani Rudrama, Sammakka-Sarakka, Chakali Ilamma and Hajare Mangamma as the country of women’s fighters, and said that this was an honor in which such a cultural festival was celebrated in this city.
Bathukamma’s poster opening program was held on Monday under the tourism department at the TaLangana State Secretary. Minister Krishna Rao and Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Dhanasari Anasuya (Seethakka), Valluri Kranthi, Cultural Department Director Mamidi Harikrishna and Batukamma Festival Organizer Dillhwari attended the event with Konda Efeckha.
As part of the program, the celebrations will take place between September 21 and September 30. The festivals will begin at the historical thousand column temple in Warangal on September 21st and will indicate that the city’s first official Bathukamma under the tourism department.
Between 22-24 September, the festival will be celebrated between important temples, touristic places and cultural centers in three to four regions every day and will exhibit the rich traditions of TaLANgana.
Speaking on this occasion, Surekha said that Bathukamma was not only a festival, but a celebration of the identity and self -esteem of Tahangana. He explained that women play a central role, and that it is a unique tradition in which families and communities bring together flowers, songs and dance.
He also said that the government was determined to exhibit TaLangana’s culture and traditions internationally. Emphasizing the importance of Bathukamma, he described it as a festival reflecting harmony with nature, flowers and the environment and spread smell in every house in the state.
Surekha expressed his confidence that the festival will be celebrated on a large scale and become an unforgettable activity with the support of the tourism department and the Warangal people.
