The official also added that the temperature will also increase by 2-4°C from February 1 and fog will decrease due to increased atmospheric instability.

Uttar Pradesh weather warning

According to the statement made by the Directorate General of Meteorology in Lucknow, a western disturbance is becoming more active in the state and its effects will start to be felt in the western parts of the state. Daytime temperatures are dropping due to disturbance from the west. On Saturday, the daytime temperature dropped by 5.3 degrees Celsius. Fog was also evident on Sunday and the maximum temperature was around 22 degrees Celsius. However, due to cloud cover, the minimum temperature is expected to be around 13 degrees Celsius.

IMD said that a new western disturbance will become active in Uttar Pradesh from February 2. Before its impact, rainfall is expected in western regions including Ghaziabad, Noida, Saharanpur, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Meerut, Agra and Mathura. The system is then expected to expand its impact towards the eastern parts of the state and rain in many areas in the next two days. During this period, minimum temperatures may rise, daytime temperatures are likely to decrease due to increased cloud cover, causing the air to cool again.

According to IMD, western and eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh are expected to experience rain and thunderstorms on February 2. On February 2, the sky in Lucknow is likely to become partly cloudy towards evening, with chances of thunderstorms and very light rain late at night or early in the morning. The maximum and minimum temperature will be 24 and 11 degrees Celsius respectively.

Western Uttar Pradesh:
