(Reuters) -ABD Disease Control Centers Centers and Prevention Vaccine Advisory Committee.
Based on the findings of a report dated 2007, Kennedy said that the Advisory Committee of Immunization Applications (Acıp) was full of conflicts.
The new study in Jama found that the annual interest rate of Acıp between 2000 and 2024 fell from 42.8% to 5%.
The ACIP advises which groups of people should receive every vaccine approved by the US Food and Pharmaceutical Administration and when it should be applied.
Researchers said that the interest rates on the FDA’s vaccines and relevant biological products advisory committee (VRBPAC), who advised whether they will approve the vaccine to the agency, have been below 4% since 2010.
Researchers, the most common conflict of interest, is usually less related to personal income -related financial ties, said the financing for research.
The prevalence of personal income conflicts such as consulting, copyright or stock ownership was below 1% for both committees since 2016.
“In the past, there have been highly reported clashes in effective vaccine committees, but significant progress has been made since the beginning of the 2000s, Genlerin said Genevie Kanter, the leader of the Schaeffe Center of Southern California Schaeffer.
Peter Lurie, the President of the Science Center in the public interest, said, “Secretary Kennedy is right that the conflict of interest is an important issue, but it is wrong to have significant levels in vaccine advisory committees (USA Health and Human Services Department).”
“Secretary Kennedy is determined to eliminate both real and perceived conflicts in order to strengthen the trust in public health decisions,” the Secretary General of the Ministry of Health and Human Services, who responded to the study. He said.
Earlier this year, the agency Acıp launched a means of explanation for the conflicts of interest.
