Venezuela airspace should be considered closed: Trump

US President Donald Trump says the airspace above and around Venezuela should be considered closed.
“All Airlines, Pilots, Drug Dealers and Human Traffickers, please consider a COMPLETE LOCKDOWN OF THE AIRSPACE ABOVE AND SURROUNDING VENEZUELA,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
Last week, the US aviation regulator warned major airlines of a “potentially hazardous situation” when flying over Venezuela due to the “deteriorating security situation and increased military activities” in or around the country.
Venezuela has revoked the operating rights of six major international airlines, which suspended flights to the country following a warning from the US Federal Aviation Administration.
