Versha Verma, Lucknow-based judo player and poet, wins ‘Humanitarian of the Year’ at DNA Women Achievers Awards 2025

DNA Women Achiers Awards were held on Friday, June 27th to celebrate the ‘New Gene Women’. The event, which was organized to honor and celebrate women in various fields, joined Versha Verma, a Lucknow -based social worker. Versha Verma won the ‘Humanitarian Aid of the Year’ award at the event.

During the Covid-19 pandemi, he came to the fore from hospitals on the grounds of burning dead from hospitals due to brutal support to families. He took his life at risk and helped families to realize the last rituals. It was regularly seen in a PPE kit outside the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in Lucknow, ready for numerous trips on the crematorium. He presented the last 5,600 derelict ces with honorable rituals and provided free ambulance services to many people who could not meet the charges.

In 2015, Versha began at Lucknow, which was registered to the Uttar Pradesh Government in accordance with the 1860 societies registration law. As a social worker, it regulates blood donation camps and sponsor training for insufficient children.
