World’s best hotel named – and four of the top 50 are in the UK

From Tokyo to Vienna, there are plenty of amazing hotels around the world – but the names of the top 50 have been revealed.
The best can be found in Asia; Rosewood Hong Kong is ranked first. The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025.
Prized for its ability to ‘stand out’ in a vibrant city, it is located on Victoria Harbour.
The hotel has 11 food and drink options, as well as ‘extensive wellness offerings’, so guests barely need to leave the hotel.

The list consists of venues in 22 different destinations spread across six continents.
While Asia manages to dominate the top three, Four Seasons Bangkok on the Chao Phraya River comes in second.
Located on the banks of the River Kings, the hotel has Mediterranean-style gardens and 299 bedrooms.

Claridge’s is number 16 on the list and is a long-standing venue on the London hotel scene, having first opened in 1856.
Meanwhile, last year’s number one hotel, Capella Bangkok, came third.
You can choose from 101 rooms, villas and suites at the stylish resort located on the Chao Phraya River.
England had a strong result and managed to secure four places in the top 50 overall.

The elegantly decorated hotel is famous as one of the most luxurious hotels in the city and has hosted royalty and celebrities.

The famous hotel has 122 rooms and three impressively large suites.
It’s also home to the Connaught Bar, which was recently ranked sixth on the World’s 50 Best Bars list.

Another UK venue – Raffles London at The OWO – was ranked 31st and was described as ‘a truly splendid new addition to London’s thriving hotel scene’.
It is located in a former Old War Office building in Whitehall and still houses the staircase where Winston Churchill made his announcements.
Emory, near Hyde Park in London, ranks 32nd and is described as the ‘most talked about town’.
The ‘unforgettable’ venue only opened its doors in July last year and is London’s first all-suite hotel.
