Vice President JD Vance draws massive crowd at Ole Miss Turning Point event

Students lined up in the cold and rain at the University of Mississippi to attend the “This is the Turning Point” Turning Point USA tour stop. Speakers for the event were Vice President J.D. Vance and Erika Kirk, widow of Charlie Kirk, currently CEO of TPUSA.
The crowd began to form in front of the Pavilion in the early morning hours. ole missStudents stretched across campus wearing MAGA hats and ‘Freedom’ t-shirts in memory of the slain Turning Point founder.

Fox News Digital spoke with attendees at the event about why they attended and shared their support for the Vice President and TPUSA.
“This is actually like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” said Nicholas, an Ole Miss student.
“We honor Charlie Kirk and his message to the world, and I think it’s really important as a student to stand up for what you believe in, which is why I’m here and we’re standing in the rain,” another student said.

“I’m here because I joined the club at the beginning of the school year and I just want to support the movement,” Gill said.
“I’m so excited to see JD Vance and Erika,” Grant said.
“We are all very excited to see J.D. Vance. He could be the next president,” Jack said.
TPUSA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet shared that more than half of the student body packed into the venue at
