Victorians could soon have the right to work from home two days a week

Working from home two days a week may become a legal right in Victoria under new plans proposed by Premier Jacinta Allan.

The state government promises to bring the law, which includes both the public and private sector until the next year, by applying it to anyone who can remove it from the office.

Ms. Allan will say to the Annual State Working Conference: “For families, it is good for working from household chores and for the economy.

“Every day, trade unions are contacted by workers who are rejected for reasonable demands for work from home and throughout the country, and the liberals prepare plans to take the business and power workers back to the office and back to the past.

“Therefore, the Allan workers’ government is moving. In the law, blocking jobs from home means that this life -changing practice is not something that you or your loved ones should politely want. This is a right to have the right.”

Authorized, the proposed Australia’s first law will add a consultation, but will not determine whether the plans will continue, he added.

“We are already Netiz: It must. We need appropriate laws to reflect it,” he said.

Allan said that the new policy is directly aimed at supporting families, promising an average of 110 dollars per week or promising $ 5308 annually.

“The work done from home supports children, caregivers and women with disabilities,” Allan said.

Legislation is expected to be introduced later this year.
