Video of fatal shooting at St. Louis Lambert Airport released
ST. LOUIS — A man armed with a knife entered St. Louis on Nov. 21. Shot to death by airport police at Terminal 1 of Louis Lambert International Airport. St. St. Louis County Police released video of the incident and more details today. The video attached to this story has been edited for content. Police identified the man as 31-year-old Darius Kennedy of Peoria, Illinois. Officers on foot patrol encountered Kennedy just after 12.40pm and told him to leave the terminal. Investigators said Kennedy refused, pulled a knife from his jacket and ignored repeated commands to drop it.

An officer used a stun gun to shock the gunman, but the man continued to advance toward another officer. A 43-year-old police officer fired his gun. Four shots were fired. Officers provided aid but Kennedy was pronounced dead at the scene. A knife was later seized.
Authorities said Kennedy was homeless. No officers were injured. The fatal shooting continues to be investigated by county detectives and findings will be shared with St. Louis after the case is completed. It will be reviewed by the St. Louis County District Attorney’s Office.
