VMC Starts Intensive Anti-Mosquito Drive Following Rains

Vijayawada: Vijayawada Municipal Company (VMC) Commissioner Hm Dhyyanachandra, officials after the rainfall in the city through large scale mosquito eradication drivers directly directed to undertake. Dhyyanachandra controlled the drivers launched on Wednesday on Wednesday on the Ajit Singh Nagar, andhra Prabha Colony, Inner Ring Road, Nuzvid Road, Vambay Colony and Bhagat Singh. Speaking to the media after the inspection, the VMC commissioner stressed that the company’s priority is to provide a clean and healthy environment.
The authorities asked the empty lands not to become a reproductive area for mosquitoes. In cases where water stagnation was inevitable, he argued that anti -laval operations should be carried out. More channels should be excavated to discharge accumulated rainwater.
Dhyyanachandra asked VMC officials from various regions to take continuously fogging operations, receive silts and wastes from drains, and mosquitoes as well as mosquito-based diseases to control the spread of diseases. In unreachable areas, he wanted ML oil to be sprayed using drones. Bhagat interacted with commissioner sanitation workers along the Singh road and asked if the waste was still thrown into the free spaces.
Workers, despite the daily garbage collection of Dhyyanachandra, some of the residents who are not at home during the garbage collection period reported that the empty parcels throw garbage. The commissioner directed the authorities to find a permanent solution to prevent such practices.
