Jyoti ratha yatra for Raichur District Utsav 2026 flagged off

The district administration flagged off Jyoti Rathayatra of the Karnataka Sangha in Raichur on February 1 to celebrate Raichur District Utsav 2026, which will be held from February 5 to 7 at the Raichur campus of the University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS).

Ratha (the chariot) was decorated with various flowers. ASHA and anganawadi workers performed puja before the car was flagged off by Nitish K., Deputy Commissioner of Raichur.

The car was taken in a grand procession through the main streets of Raichur city before heading towards the town of Manvi. It will go to Sindhanur, Maski, Lingsagur, Kavithal, Deodurga, Gabbur, Arkera and Siwar by February 5.

Among those who attended the event were Guarantee Schemes Implementation Committee Chairman Pavan Kishore Patil, CEO Eshwar Kumar Kandoo, Mahanagar Commissioner Palike Jibin Mohapatra, Additional Deputy Commissioner Shivanand and Ravi Boseraju.
