Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas has released her first look from her highly anticipated new movie The Bluff, opposite Karl Urban. The makers of the film have shared a series of first look photos where Priyanka Chopra is showcased in a rugged and intense avatar as she steps into the role of the pirate. The first look shows high-octane action scenes and dramatic moments from the film, along with the violent confrontation between the characters played by Priyanka Chopra and Karl Urban.

The Desi Girl star is seen giving a major dose of drama and excitement as well as action-heavy scenes. Introducing her character, Priyanka Chopra described her role as “Bloody Mary”. “Mother. Protector. Pirate. Meet Bloody Mary. #TheBluff February 25, 2026,” Priyanka Chopra wrote on Instagram.

In addition to Priyanka Chopra and Karl Urban, Temuera Morrison also plays a key role in ‘The Bluff’. Backed by Amazon MGM Studios, ‘The Bluff’ is directed by Frank E Flowers and co-written by Flowers and Joe Ballarini. According to Variety, the film is produced by the Russo Brothers under AGBO.

Priyanka Chopra plays the role of a former pirate whose past resurfaces, forcing her to confront challenges she long believed were behind her. Talking about her character and the film, Priyanka Chopra said that the project aims to portray pirates in a more realistic way, unlike popular fictional depictions.

“Instead of recreating ‘Pirates of the Caribbean,’ we’re trying to show what it was really like to be a pirate in the 1700s. It was fascinating to explore the lives of real-life pirates like Irish woman Grace O’Malley. We shot the movie in Australia, but it’s set in the Cayman Islands.”

Pirates used the islands located halfway between Honduras, Mexico and Cuba as resting places between voyages. This has made it a truly diverse place, with people coming from as far away as Scotland, Africa and India. “This was a fascinating foundation for a truly diverse and strong cast,” he told Variety. ‘The Bluff’ will premiere on Prime Video on February 25, 2026.
