Walcha Motorcycle Rally: Speedway car slams into crowd, injuring 13 people, two critical

Two people are in a critical condition and many more seriously injured after a motorway car crashed into a crowd at a rally in country NSW.
At least 13 people were injured when the car sped through a grassy area in Walcha and crashed directly over a fence.
Following the crash at the Walcha Motorcycle Rally, emergency services were called to the Walcha showground, 90 kilometers from Tamworth in New South Wales.
The 27-year-old speedway driver was competing in a demolition derby before his vehicle crashed through a fence and crashed into a crowd, NSW police said.
A NSW Ambulance spokesman told AAP 13 people were injured in the incident.
Two of them are in critical condition; A man in his 50s suffered spinal and hip injuries and a man in his 30s suffered a head injury.
They were taken by helicopter to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle.
The other 11 victims, aged between 20 and 75, were transported to hospitals in Armidale, Tamworth and Walcha; six were seriously injured.
Police teams investigating the accident are investigating at the scene.
