Wiggles, ex-chief out of tune over ‘unlawful’ sacking

Wiggles play hot potatoes with their old bosses and claim that they were illegally fired after increasing their concerns about hiring friends and family.
Luke O’Neill said the bonuses were rejected before rejected by famous children’s entertainers without a reasonable basis and excluded from meetings.
Blue Wiggle Anthony Field and General Advisor Matthew Salgo launched legal proceedings against the Federal court.
No defense was made to the court, but the group’s lawyer said that the allegations were appealed on Monday.
“There are many complaints or investigations that begged during the applicant’s employment … All have been rejected,” Wiggles’s lawyer said on Monday.
“We are in the process of getting instructions about the thinner points of the defense.”
Justice Michael Lee asked the parties to prepare a timeline in front of a potential hearing in April and said that it was “uncertain about how long it will last”.
A three -day preliminary estimation was presented, but the court told the court that other problems could be longer.

The court will join the mediation before the end of the year to see that the problem could not be solved before the hearing.
Mr. O’Neill questioned the only original movement in the group – he questioned his authority – and “weakened him in front of more than a dozen staff at a meeting in February.
The former boss complained that Blue Wiggle’s nephew was hired to work on an album to be applied to Field’s friend and his daughter’s boyfriend and a bonus scheme, unlike the usual plan.
According to the court documents, Field was claimed to have taken steps to reduce Mr. O’neill’s roles and responsibilities.
This included excluding it from the meetings held with the store KMAART to sell branded toys and to send E -POSTE on the intention to remove a tour supporter without consulting to all staff before.

Mr. O’Neill made another complaint about the other decisions that were taken without being approved by the staff and the field.
Finally, in April, the group’s director Red Wiggle Simon complained to Pryce that the decisions created a budget invasion and endangered the bonus.
Pryce acknowledged that the performance of the three -year group has justified an increase in its performance in 2023 fiscal financially in 2025 fiscal in 2025 to $ 7 million in 2025.
However, Mr. O’Neill was fired in May, he said he had come without a reasonable foundation and without any warning or earlier negative feedback.
He claims that his dismissal is illegal and that he was a negative action by Wiggles after exercising his workplace rights.

In the court documents, he claimed that the bonus payment of $ 86,000 in July was less than he was indebted.
Mr. O’Neill began to work for Wiggles as a consulting role in April 2023 before becoming a general manager in January 2024.
It was tasked with implementing strategies to increase the income of the group, to protect the budget and to supervise their decisions.
It was founded in 1991 and is one of the best winning and most popular entertainment groups in Australia, wins multiple Arıa awards and enters the Honor Hall in 2011.
