After a very hot Saturday with temperatures reaching over 30 degrees, Brisbane and other parts of Queensland were able to weather the severe weather.
The Bureau of Meteorology said thunderstorms were likely on Sunday and the rain would not be heavy, but there was a chance of hail and strong winds.
Senior meteorologist Miriam Bradbury said in a press release that even Saturday “some areas may see a chance of showers or thunderstorms.” [of Queensland]that is, it moves along the northwestern parts of the state central regions and mostly towards the southeast.”

The BoM website currently says there is a 70 per cent chance of rain on Monday as well.
