Watch: Huge US B-52 bomber lands at UK air base | News

A US Air Force B-52 bomber landed at RAF Fairford air base on Monday, March 9, after US and Israeli air strikes on Iran sparked widespread regional conflict.

This comes after the UK Ministry of Defense said the US had begun using British bases for “special defense operations” against Iran.

Sir Keir Starmer has stood by his decision not to allow British bases to be used to support initial strikes, saying he must ensure any military action is legal and well-planned.

The Prime Minister later allowed US forces to use British bases for what he called defensive strikes against Iranian missiles in depots or launchers.

Asked if the “special relationship” between the two countries had deteriorated, Sir Keir said the UK and US worked together “every day”.
