There were surprise wins, emotional speeches and funny moments as the stars came together for Hollywood’s biggest night at the 2026 Oscars.

At the ceremony, action thriller One Battle After Another won the most Oscars of the night, with six wins, including best picture. But there were plenty of historic moments, including Jessie Buckley becoming the first Irish star to win best actress.

Michael B Jordan took the best actor award with a shock win amid fierce competition from Leonardo di Caprio and Timothée Chalamet; He became the sixth black actor to win this award in the nearly 100-year history of the Academy.
