Watch: Violent phone-snatching gang’s leader arrested in bed | News

This is the moment the leader of a phone-snatching gang targeting London Underground passengers was arrested in bed.
Adel Kerari, 27, of Hammersmith and Lisgar Terrace in Fulham, and several other youths embarked on an 11-day crime spree in June 2023, during which they committed six violent crimes at various tube stations.
Once, after trapping a woman on the tube, the group punched her in the face and stole her phone.
Footage released by British Transport Police showed Kerari being arrested while lying in bed at a property in west London.
He pleaded guilty to six counts of robbery and one count of fraud by false representation and was sentenced to two years and eight months’ imprisonment at Inner London Crown Court.
Kerari’s accomplices were sentenced to a total of more than 10 years in prison in 2023 and 2024 for their roles in the robberies.
