‘We Are Going To Free Gaza From Hamas, Not Occupy It’: Netanyahu Defends New Military Plan Amid Global Backlash | World News

After encountering increasing criticisms following the approval of a new military plan to seize the control of the Gaza City of the Israeli security cabinet, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu advocated the controversial proposal of his government on Friday and argued that the aim was to eliminate the existence and influence of Hamas, not to occupy Gaza.

In a mission in X, Netanyahu announced that Gaza will be militaryized and a peaceful civilian administration will be established. This said it would help hostages to release and that Gaza will no longer be a threat to Israel.

“We will not occupy Gaza – we will release Gaza from Hamas. Gaza will be militaryized and a peaceful civilian administration without any other terrorist organization, not any other terrorist organization.

In a statement, Israeli Prime Minister said on 7 August that the Israeli security cabinet approved the Prime Minister’s proposal to beat Hamas.

According to the proposal, the security cabin has accepted five principles to conclude the war. These include the disarmament of Hamas, the return of all hostages, the militaryization of the Gaza Strip, the Israeli security control over the region, and the establishment of an alternative civil administration with neither HAMAS nor Palestinian authority.

Following this development, Germany decided to stop exports of all military equipment that can be used in the Gaza Strip potentially. The movement comes in the midst of increasing concerns about the lack of clarity surrounding its goals in Israel’s ongoing operations.

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said in X, although Israel had the right to defend itself against terrorism, the last military rise made by the Israeli Security Cabinet said serious questions.

“Israel has the right to defend itself against terrorism. The release of hostages and the negotiations on the ceasefire are our biggest priorities. Hamas must be disarmed – Hamas should not be allowed to play a role in Gaza in the future. It can be used in the Gaza Strip, Merz, who has not become more uncertain, has not become even more uncertain, has not become more uncertain, and does not make it even more uncertain. ”
