William and Kate paid for the renovation before moving in, with the video showing off the property’s sumptuous décor. In the message, the Prince is seen standing next to a large door with gold detailing and red curtains.
Photos can also be seen on the wall, although it is not clear what they show.
Speaking to the Daily MailInterior design expert Benji Lewis labels the style “English, elegant, grand country house.”
He added: “The rooms are likely to be airy and spacious and the ceilings are high and tall with beautiful tall windows providing lots of natural light into the spaces.
“By blending neutral tones like ivory and taupe, they cleverly struck a tasteful balance between calm and slightly contemporary.”
The family reportedly wants Forest Lodge to be their “forever” home, even when Prince William becomes king.
They are believed to have moved house during the half-term break to accommodate 12-year-old Prince George, 10-year-old Princess Charlotte and 7-year-old Prince Louis.
During the Armistice Day video, the Prince said: “Coming together in remembrance is a vital way to honor those whose service keeps us safe.
“Even today, as we face a series of conflicts around the world, we honor those who have gone before us and those who are currently serving.”
